The exhibition Por um Fio intertwines parts of the series CRISÁLIDA (2000-2024), RANDOM DAYS (2019), and KOSTBARE FRACHT (2012). The images depict the strenuous process of transforming materials and reflect the environmental concerns of our consumer society. The works reflect the paradoxical concept of the human creative spirit and simultaneously its destructive nature.

In Por um Fio, a series of photographs reveal a variety of discarded materials, such as paper, a tangle of wires, electronic components, dismantled keyboards, cut-up credit cards from the Portuguese Bank BES and the sound of water drops, etc., outline the new map of the world made of machines that are man´s appendixes.
