I led a Words - Photos workshop as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, organized by Cimade and the Franck Fanon Center. This workshop was warmly welcomed by the Moussogniè Association in its OEil de femmes gallery. In the presence of exiled and migrant women, we shared two days rich in discussion and testimony.

These African women, from all walks of life, bravely shared their harrowing stories, denouncing the violence they have faced. They addressed themes such as domestic violence, forced marriage, violence suffered during the Mediterranean crossing, violence within the framework of administrative or medical procedures, and the exploitation of their bodies to solve family problems.

Their presence in the OEil de femmes gallery highlights the importance of providing spaces and platforms to give women a voice, to make their voices heard, and to raise public awareness of these often-hidden realities.

This workshop helped strengthen our solidarity with these vulnerable women, to better understand their challenges and to reflect on solutions to support them. Aware of their rights, we are determined to fight together against this unacceptable violence.

The fight against violence towards women must involve all spheres of society. It requires the development of inclusive policies and programs aimed at preventing and combating all forms of violence, as well as protecting and supporting the women who are victims.

We are convinced that through collective mobilization and coordinated action, we can put an end to this violence. Women deserve to live in a world where they are respected, protected, and free from all forms of violence.
